Statin
Drugs – Side Effects
and The Misguided War on Cholesterol
(by) Duane Graveline, M.D.
Paperback: 193 pages
If you are on a statin drug or are thinking of going on a statin, this
fully referenced book, Statin Drug Side Effects, is a “must read” for
you. The unacceptable legacy of statin drug use at today’s high doses is
a trail of chronic aches and pains, numbness, weakness, confusion,
fatigue, shortness of breath and even heart failure in hordes of
unsuspecting victims. Only by knowing this information can you make an
informed decision about your health care.
In Dr. Graveline’s search of the medical and scientific literature for
an explanation for his own statin associated transient global amnesia
this former astronaut and retired family doctor reveals to his readers
the critical importance of cholesterol for proper brain function and
memory and the reasons for the damage statin drugs do to our muscles,
nerves and heart and even our personalities.
From his participation in the San Diego College of Medicine statin study
to his review of FDA's Medwatch files of adverse drug reports and his
email correspondence with thousands of distraught patients the world
over, Dr. Graveline ( M.D. retired ) is uniquely qualified to discuss
the magnitude of the statin side effect problem, the complex and wide
ranging role of cholesterol in our bodies and the range of serious and
unintended consequences of the misguided war on this vital substance.

Lipitor
Thief of Memory
(by) Duane Graveline, M.D.
Paperback: 196 pages
Message From the Author:
My personal introduction to the incredible world of transient global
amnesia (TGA) occurred six weeks after Lipitor was started during my
annual astronaut physical at Johnson Space Center.
My cholesterol had been trending upwards for several years. All was well
until six weeks later, when my wife found me walking aimlessly about the
yard after I returned from my usual walk in the woods. I did not
recognize her, and only reluctantly accepted cookies & milk--but refused
to go into my now unfamiliar home.
I “awoke” six hours later in the office of the examining Neurologist
with a diagnosis of transient global amnesia, cause unknown. An MRI
performed several days later was normal. Since Lipitor® was the only new
medicine I was taking, the doctor in me suspected a possible side effect
of this drug. Despite the arguments of the examining doctors that statin
drugs just did not do this, I stopped my Lipitor.
The year passed uneventfully and soon it was time for my next astronaut
physical. NASA doctors joined in the chorus I had come to expect from
physicians and pharmacists during the preceding year--that statin drugs
just did not do this!

The Statin Damage Crisis
by Duane Graveline MD MPH
Former USAF Flight Surgeon
Former NASA Astronaut
Retired Family Doctor
Early on my NASA doctors told me my amnesia response to statins was
nothing but a coincidence but I persevered to write my first book, "Lipitor®,
Thief of Memory" and now find that over 1,000 cases of amnesia and
memory loss have been reported to the FDA, just from Lipitor® alone.
Then I learned of statin damage to nerves and muscles and profound
behavioral and personality changes, demanding I write a second book, "Statin
Drugs Side Effects."
Even this broadly encompassing book was insufficient to describe what I
have learned more recently of the truly dark side of statins - their
ability to alter the very fabric of our makeup.
I had long wondered why muscle and nerve damage seemed permanent and
even progressive like my own ALS-like condition. Now I have found that
the ultimate effect of statins on
CoQ10 and dolichols is to damage the DNA of the mitochondrial life-force
within our cells - mitochondrial mutation masquerading as premature old
age.

About the Author:
When
Dr. Duane Graveline, former astronaut, aerospace medical research
scientist, flight surgeon, and family doctor is given Lipitor to lower
his cholesterol, he temporarily loses his short-term memory. Urged a
year later to resume the drug at half dose, he lost both short-term and
retrograde memory and was finally diagnosed in a hospital ER as having
transient global amnesia (TGA). This is the "scary, appealingly written"
account of his search for answers that his medical community didn't have
-- the how and why of his traumatic experience, and what needs to be
done to prevent the devastating side effects to body and mind from the
escalating use of the statin drugs.

find an abundance of articles, studies, and reports regarding a
wide-variety of side-effects caused by pharmaceutical drugs.

VITAMINS
CAN KILL CANCER By Reagan Houston, MS, PE
Vitamins Can Kill Cancer tells how current cancer patients can improve
regular therapies by adding vitamin C and other standard vitamins. The
regimen has helped hundreds of patients with thirty types of cancer.
Vitamins, added to regular therapies, have helped patients live much
longer. Abram Hoffer, MD, PhD, demonstrated proper dosages for common
vitamins A, B, C, D and E plus selenium and zinc. Hoffer tested 134
patients with many types of advanced cancer who also received standard
cancer therapies. He recommended a low-fat and low-sugar diet plus
vitamins. Those who chose vitamin therapy lived 45 months versus 2.6
months for those who refused vitamins. Vitamins Can Kill Cancer explains
why vitamins work, why vitamins are underused and how patients can
safely use vitamins to combat cancer.

Medical Myths
Why medical treatment causes 200,000 deaths in the USA each year, and
how to protect yourself
BY: Joel M. Kauffman; West Conshohocken, PA
Paperback: 326 pages
In this eye-opening and meticulously documented book, Dr Joel Kauffman
presents a damning critique of mainstream medicine in the United States.
The US spends $2 trillion per year on healthcare, about $7000 per
person, yet it buys almost the poorest care among developed countries,
with at least 200,000 deaths per year from medical treatment. Based on a
thorough review of the professional literature, Kauffman shows that
official advice on screening tests, drugs, diet, exercise, alcohol,
radiation, and water fluoridation is often wrong and commercially
motivated, that clinical trials are often slanted, and that ‘sickness’
is created to sell treatments.
There is compelling evidence that treatment with some of the
best-selling prescription drugs fails to prolong life or improve its
quality in many of the people who take them. This includes
anti-cholesterol drugs, blood pressure drugs, and most anticancer drugs
used for chemotherapy. Over 90% of drugs only work in 30 to 50% of the
people taking them. However, if medical providers fail to follow
‘official’ guidelines for diagnosis and treatment or if they use an
‘alternative’ treatment, they may be threatened with lawsuits for
malpractice or suffer ostracism or even de-licensing.
In his book, Dr. Kauffman details the 10 Top Medical Myths - - - don’t
fall prey and find out why these are only myths based on contrived
studies, less than accurate reports, and in most cases, promoted by
pharmaceutical enhancements to a large number of people and groups.

About the Author
Joel M. Kauffman obtained a BS in Chemistry from the Philadelphia
College of Pharmacy and Science, now called University of the Sciences
in Philadelphia (USP), and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After 11 years of experience in
the chemical industry, Dr. Kauffman joined USP in 1979, rising to
Professor of Chemistry. His experience includes about 10 years of
exploratory drug development at USP and 4 years at the Massachusetts
College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He obtained grants and
contracts from many sources including the National Institutes of Health,
the Department of Energy, the Office of Naval Research and the Army
Research Office and several manufacturing companies. With 80 papers on
chemical and medical topics, and 11 patents, including 2 on
antituberculosis drugs, Dr. Kauffman has turned his attention to
exposing fraud in medicine.
AIDS:
The Crime Beyond Belief by William L. C. Scott and Donald W. Scott
About the Book
In 1981 two new human disease syndromes were reported. Both involved a
malfunctioning immune system. One, a variant of a disabling disease (Encephalitica
Lethargica) was marked by extreme fatigue. The other invariably fatal as
a consequence of the body's inability to defend itself against a protean
range of opportunistic diseases.
The disabling disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), and its fatal
'mirror image', Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), were met
with mockery and belittlement by the medical profession and by the
media. CFS was quickly labeled the 'yuppie flu' and AIDS dismissed as a
'gay plague'.
Strangely, both echoed a promise made on June 9, 1969 by the United
States Department of Defense Committee of Congress: within 10 years the
Pentagon could have two new bioweapons - one disabling and one fatal.
CFS and AIDS! Congress voted money and by 1981 CFS and AIDS began to
present. Today CFS disables at least 5 out of 100 citizens of the U.S.,
Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, while 8,000 people a day die
of AIDS.
The co-factors of CFS and AIDS were discovered, developed and deployed
by the United States of America!
Don't believe this study and don't disbelieve it. Read the compelling
trail of evidence, then decide whether AIDS is The Crime Beyond Belief.

The Extremely
Unfortunate Skull Valley Incident
by Donald Scott & William
Scott
In The Extremely Unfortunate Skull Valley Incident, the reader is taken
into the shadowy underworld of American military politics to examine the
role of various agencies in the development and testing of biological
and chemical weapons. Facts are taken from U.S. government documents,
studied in the context of historical events and then used to form a
hypothesis that the infectious agents responsible for the current
epidemics of AIDS and CFS were created in a military lab.

The
Brucellosis Triangle by Don Scott
The Brucellosis Triangle picks up where the authors' first book, The
Extremely Unfortunate Skull Valley Incident left off. In The Extremely
Unfortunate Skull Valley Incident, the authors linked Fibromyalgia,
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Gulf War Syndrome to a laboratory
engineered form of brucellosis, created to be used as a biological
weapon. In The Brucellosis Triangle, further details about the
brucellosis pathogen emerge, and linkages to many modern day
neurodegenerative systemic diseases are made.
