RADTriage Badge

RADTriage Badge

RADTriageTM is part of the Self-Indicating Radiation Alert Dosimeter (SIRAD®) family of dosimeters. It is always active and ready to use, providing a quick and easy way to detect radiation exposure. RADTriageTM is a smart dosimeter, meaning it is capable of monitoring shelf life, false positives/negatives and tampering using a False-positive, Inactivation and Tamper indicator (FIT). It is considered a personal dosimeter because the credit card sized colorimeters are designed to be carried with you at all times - in a wallet, purse or with your employee identification badge.

RADTriageTM is a warning and casualty dosimeter. It supplements rather than replaces other dosimeters or detectors you may be required to use. It may be the only dosimeter worn by people who do not routinely work with radioactive materials and radiation sources.

Carry RADTriageTM in your wallet, purse, or pocket. It can also hang from your neck or belt like an ID badge.

When exposed to radiation the SIRAD® sensing strip instantly turns blue.

RADTriageTM can be viewed in any light.
For higher accuracy, fluorescent lights are recommended.

The typical shelf life of RADTriageTM is one year after issue date.
® Keeping your RADTriageTM in the freezer extends the shelf life to five years.
